Why we exist

As countries including England and Wales are moving towards introducing advance decision making into legislation, there is a lack of robust, freely available and accessible co-produced educational materials to guide people through the why, what, how and overall creation of Advance Choice Documents.

Our research and engagement have shown widespread demand for freely available guidance on how to write Advance Choice Documents, so we came together to get these resources to those who most need it, namely those with mental health conditions, their carers and clinicians.
